Alright, I just finished reading the documentation and getting iOS reader and Google Reading mode, and Firefox reader mode to work for the mobile document viewer.
It is still not going to work for PDF; that is just not a possibility for me at the moment. So I hope this is good enough

It should be fairly simple to do that on mobile. At least on Android. Download Google Reading mode, set it to short cut. Go to the story page (either desktop or mobile view works) and just turn on reading mode with the shortcut. This site was specifically tested for mobile use. Try it out.
