oh yeah it definitely functions that way - i had problems before where it didn’t and this approach is what i did to solve that 😅 i think i just forgot about thinking how the rest needs to function

yeah i think that may be it. i think the approach works for the first 10% as thats the easiest to outline, whereas the midsection needs more detail to stop the freewriting going too haywire. thank you !!!!

I've been doing a little of both - making a basic outline then freewriting, editing, and tweaking the outline. my goal is always to get a first draft done, but when i hit roadblocks for too long a time i feel like continuing is just a waste of time (for now at least)
