I'm really going through a lot of suffering we transgenders we have been isolated at the camp, no food, medication and other basic needs a person should have. Me personally I go days minus food just ending up on an empty stomach, transphobic attacks are on a daily basis.

Life tends to be seriously dire as the situation I live in worsens. As an LGBTQ member, sleeping on an empty stomach leaves me with no option than running to you for help.

In gorom refugee camp life is very hard for lgbtq people every day we wake up with empty stomachs and we struggle to find food we line up for hours hoping to get something to eat but many times we go back with nothing hunger is our hearts are heavy because we have no protection.

Amina, a transgender woman from Uganda, had been forced to run from her home after threats turned into attacks. Her only escape was through Kenya and finally across the border into South Sudan, hoping to find safety. But Gorom, though a refuge in name, brought e camp was still harsh.
