The idea of upscaling classic episodes is not bad at all. The Pertwee era episodes for example, especially the colourised ones, have loads of exterior footage that looks awful. If used responsibly and with great care, it can indeed lead to perfect results. They really need to improve on that.

While his stories are great, I agree that he's no longer the right person for Doctor Who. Maybe as a writer, but not as a showrunner. Personally, I think that a woman should finally take over that role. There are probably a lot out there who could do it.

Never heard of this before, but from what I see, it really has the potential for an HD or even a 4K remaster. This is the beauty of film negatives, that if they are in excellent condition, it's possible to get so many details out of them.
