From Northern Ireland, fan of the mighty Tottenham Hotspur and an avid Americanophile, even though they both test me to the limit...
Great finish on that disallowed goal, had me out of my seat. VAR redeemed itself on the soft penalty though.

Was at the NI game last night, he was the best player on the pitch.

NI need a number nine badly and he's the closest we have of any quality. Dunno if he is PL standard just yet though but that Stoke loan needs to be terminated. It's been a complete waste of time, he's only played 37 minutes.

Good decision on Sarr, he loves playing United, Brennan too.

Yeah, but at Everton we scored three headers from inside the six yard box and we couldn't even muster a 2.00 xG, what's that all about? Do they have to be tap ins from 6 inches away to count as a 1.00 xG?

Yeah, people should be more patient with players new to the league, Son's first season wasn't exactly stellar and he even asked to leave after it, thank God Pochettino persuaded him to reconsider.

Another great example is Bale, he's used to be considered an albatross who never won a game...

I mean that the xG of a particular match will vary depending upon who's doing the measuring. For example, on Sunday BBC had it 1.53 - 2.08 whilst the official PL site had it 1.74 - 1.72. That's quite a difference and it must be down to how they measure it, hence there must be a subjective element.

My problem with xG is that because it's subjective no two stat sites can ever really agree on it's total for any match, whereas they can all agree on goals scored.

Richy had a rough night, so many near misses, he would have had a bundle if he had arrived a wee bit later or a wee bit earlier on the end of a few crosses.

Brennan was a big improvement, beating his man a few times...get him and Kudus interchanging effectively and we are on to something.

None of them can play, so why worry about a goalkeeper...or is the fact that they're all fit a reason you didn't pick one...

He's out for a month with a suspected calf strain apparently.

European courts would have a field day on restrictive employment practices, long term contracts will be a thing of the past, Bosmans will go through the roof...that's just off the top of my head.
October 27, 2025 at 3:28 PM
We have 10 injuries as it is...
October 27, 2025 at 1:29 PM
Yeah, we should forget about putting crosses in, just force corners or throw ins high up in the field...save on all the faffing about...teach a man to fish and he'll eat for life...

Yeah, dunno about the two signings rule though.

Felt sorry for Johnson when they were singing "Mickey again, ole, ole"

Yeah, but he's part of that solid defense...it's everything else that was the problem.

Oh So Spurs are always positive and never take themselves seriously. Jim often appears on LWOS, trying to talk sense into some of their more negative types. #COYS

Yeah...they moved it nicely into their own net too.

Sarr coming back will help things though. Apparently he wasn't 100% fit this last couple of weeks.
September 28, 2025 at 12:32 PM
Yeah, but he can't win, if he's always rotating he "doesn't know his best 11", if he does play the same guys he's "not using the squad properly"...

Yeah, just googled him and one of his photos is a mug shot...

And Kepa returned to Chelsea.
