Science, art, music. I sometimes post original art and photography, articles with commentary, also some reposts from talented photographers, artists, and scientists. I don't like politics, but we're in the fight of our lives to save democracy.
Hanauma Bay (southeast O'ahu) is a snorkeling paradise (you don't need a snorkel to enjoy it), full of bright sea critters (but watch out for the reefs and don't go out too far).

Trump is not pushing for peace.

He wants the appearance of peace (he's still hoping for a Nobel Peace Prize) but giving Putin Ukrainian territory is not a path to peace, it's a way to give Russia the land and resources they need to take the rest of Ukraine whenever it's politically convenient.

There are no Ukraine peace talks.

Trump is trying to get Ukraine to capitulate, to cede territory, so his friend Putin will reward him for helping him gain traction.

That's not peace. That's giving Putin the land, resources, and time he needs to regroup and take the rest of Ukraine.

Trump didn't trot down to the local hardware store to buy the 18k-gold seat-belt buckles for his planes.

Wealthy people share the money among themselves. It goes sideways.

Also, the definition of a trickle is an itty bitty little bit. Amazing that people thought it would be something bigger.

A couple of nights ago I watched about 30 videos of local law enforcement apprehending criminals with long rap sheets who were evading arrest.

I did not see one body slam. They always found a way to apprehend and cuff without smashing them into the ground. Body slamming clearly can be avoided.

They want to re-establish a feudal system and declare themselves nobility so they can pass power through their genes rather than through a democratic vote.

It's no different from what they did in the Middle Ages where life was good for 5%, tolerable for 15%, and utterly miserable for everyone else.

Trump envoys Steve Witkoff and Jared Kushner are negotiating with Russian officials to ensure the Trump family and its allies can make big business profits if Ukraine cedes territory to Russia, according to an exhaustive Wall Street Journal report published Friday.

I have Rosencrantz and Guildenstern are Dead on laserdisc and on DVD. Great movie, one of my favorites.

On X it's now possible to view country of origin of the foreign influencer bots responding to Trump's message about closing Venezuelan airspace.

On TS, he might think they are real accounts supporting his executive decisions. Maybe he thinks he's "up in the polls" based on social media responses.

Giving up land would be giving up Ukraine.

Not only is it rewarding the aggressor, but it provides Putin the land, the resources, and the time he needs to regroup and take the rest of Ukraine (and Moldova and Romania).

Zelenskyy can't give up land or Putin will use it to crush Ukraine.

When I was in school we didn't have anything resembling "behavior points".

It's possible our teachers wrote themselves an occasional note if someone misbehaved (or simply cemented it in their minds), but our classes were focused on academics. Good behavior was expected but not in an obsessive way.

We can start with Melania who came in under an Einstein Visa which obviously she doesn't qualified for.

Then Elon, who overstayed his Student Visa and worked full time.

D'Souza was born in Mumbai and came in under a Student Visa. His status between 1983 (when he graduated) and 1991 is unclear.

D'Souza is a gullible fool and propagandist.

I watched every minute of 2000 Mules six times, read both editions of his book and put tabs on the most egregiously inaccurate statements. It's a fabricated mess.

He fell for Gregg Phillips' and Catherine Engelbrecht's lies and repeated them ad nauseum.
