I love looking at these vintage adverts to get font/typeface inspiration.

When artists like me try and get this texture, out of registration and blurring by applying filters.
What an absolute joy to see the originals.

...alas the stand alone figure, dispersing the snow drift either side. His motionless stance forming a two ridges with nothing in-between. His back, I'm guessing covered in snow, trying to push him forward but he remains still.

Sure, and my clients want me to replicate that exact look.... I've been really close a few times but to be honest, there is something that just says "vintage original" that I'm just not able to replicate....

Sorry, but totally off topic, those fonts, colours and distress look on that cover are simply amazing.... something I'm trying to replicate.
