I actually have two Bluesky accounts. The original plan was this would be my art account, the other would be my SecondLife account. However, I barely log into SL anymore so I'm thinking of just making the other account my main account because it actually uses my name.

Just finished watching "Bravern" with the "Ancients of VRChat" group. Everyone who watched it agreed it was the best anime of the season and wondered why more people aren't talking about it. Seriously, if you haven't watched it, you're missing out.

Subnautica is my favourite game. It's amazing I got to play it twice for the first time. Originally on desktop, then in VR with the Submersed VR mod. The absolute best way to play this game.

Took what I learned working on my anime robot girl avatar and put it towards optimizing this anime dog girl avatar. Got her from "Very Poor" to "Poor", which is a lot of effort for VRChat. Most people are fine walking around with a Very Poor rating. I was also able to make her Quest compatible!

Continuing to update my anime robot girl city. I've pushed as much as I can squeeze into the 100MB limit for Quest so there may not be any more updates, nothing big at least.

However, I might fork it off into a PC only version and continue to expand that.

I've been trying to learn how to make #VRChat worlds. Since I put so much work into this cute robot girl avatar I made an anime robot world to hang out in. "Robot Refuge". It has animated NPCs with dialog, a flooded city to swim in, and I want to add hidden collectibles for people to find!

One is an electrical themed rabbit girl robot, the other is the same model as mine, minus my customizations. My robot girl standing next to another robot girl named ExDiver. She's sold as an avatar on Booth (along with all the others) but I turned her into an NPC, on the PC version she explains the swimming mechanics. Swimming will come to Quest in the next update. A wide shot of the main "hang out" area. Beanbags are arranged around a large viewscreen for watching videos, or you can sit at the tables while having refreshments from the vending machines. There's more to the place than this, but you'll need to figure out how to get to some of the harder to reach spots! Maybe one of the NPCs has a solution?

Another robot girl avatar for #VRChat I got this one because she reminds me of #MegaMan style robots. Bought an alt helmet, modified all the textures, optimized the hell out of it (as much as I'm able at this point, at least) and repurposed some armour bits as a skirt.

It's only been a week or so since my friend gifted me a Quest 2 to help me with my dysphoria and social anxiety, and I'm pretty sure I'm already addicted to #VRChat

If you haven't tried VR, the screenshots don't do justice to the feeling of being there.
A cute cowgirl avatar a friend gifted me to start with. A pic I took of a friend's robot avatar sitting at a robot sushi restaurant in a VRC world we were exploring. Really well optimized, too, I got great performance and almost no lag there. And there were collectibles to find that unlocked free avatars. A selfie I took wearing the same robot girl avatar as my friend. At the shop where we found it, they have a Half-Life style tram ride "tour" of the robot factory, with a story woven into the Vket world the shop is found in, that is currently one of my favourite experiences in VRC. It's all made by Nekonny of Kemono Cafe.

Halloween's approach makes me really want to get back to drawing horror comics. I need to get my skills back to where they used to be as I'm able to manage more motivation and energy. Maybe I should try to take on a throw-away project in the meantime.

THIS is how you create atmosphere!

Compare that to a place that actually uses light sources to create its atmosphere. This hallway is almost pitch black aside from a florescent ceiling lamp that flickers to life for a moment every minute or so. The hallway isn't painted black so using a flashlight I can see!
Me, standing in a dark hallway, the light of my flashlight brightening up enough that I can see all the way to the door at the end. The hallway is dark because of the lighting and shaders, not because it's been painted black.

This means in #SecondLife if you go to a fullbright location with no actual lighting and it's night time, your avatar will be a silhouette against a glaring bright environment.

And if you take a flashlight to a "dark" area your avatar will light up but you still won't be able to see shit.

I haven't drawn at all in well over a year. I haven't drawn regularly in over 2 years. Scribbled this while trying my best to mentally block out the other tenants in this hellhouse shouting at each other.

I'm not sure how I want to sign my art yet, so just a question mark for now.
Some terrible scribblings that almost resemble a person in anguish, begging the other tenants in her hellhouse to shut the fuck up.

#Phantasm isn't just good. It's WEIRD and it has BALLS. Literally. Why are so many things I love so underrated? Phantasm is easily my fave #horror franchise. I love every single movie. It's cosmic horror. Angus Scrimm as The Tall Man is my favourite horror monster. Mike and Reggie make a great duo.

And I can't gush over #TheEvilDead without also proclaiming my love for the remake. Sure, there's no stand out lead like Bruce Campbell and it drops the comedy, but the cast still does a great job, the effects are fantastic, and there's gallons of fake blood. I still need to see Evil Dead Rise.

Of course #EvilDead is near the top of my list. I love all 3 original movies and the TV series. Bruce Campbell could carry the franchise alone but he doesn't have to. Raimi is a top notch horror director, the effects are fun and memorable, and so is the story. This is top shelf vintage #horror
