We lost our 26 year old trans daughter in July. Yesterday was Trans Day of Remembrance and I never posted about it. I didn’t attend an event. I couldn’t. I couldn’t even scream. Head down. Breathe. For now that is all.

Four days before heading to India I was walking along the Fraser River on Brae Island in the British Columbia lower mainland in Canada, and came across this little shrine on the shore. Not as impressive as temples I saw in Andhra Pradesh and Odisha, but cool foreshadowing.

Google Reviews insisted that the Visakhapatnam airport has dirt bathrooms and not restaurants. Neither turned out to be true. It’s a nice small airport and even the security staff were kind.

Two Indian airports (Chennai and Visakhapatnam) and both of them have cats roaming around the departure areas. Is that the same cat? Did someone give it a lift to Visak from Chennai?!?

So much great food is found along the highway in Andhra Pradesh, India. Puri and dosas for four, tea for four, and big bottle of water, all delicious and all for under 200 rupees!
