Has ai program for us to use

What frustrates me is that the school has ai program for students to use and my prof a different prof mentions it all the time, this different prof doesn’t mind if we use ai for certain things we just can’t generate content for writing assignments

So my question is why does the school subscribed

Sorry talk have to dig a bit for my responses and story

My answers for questions a and b . And as I mentioned. Before why I took out question A. It just frustrates me that iam like iam I doing the right and ethical thing? I don’t use ai generated writing. I try to use ai as a tool

I asked ai which response to different questions were strong between question A and Question B. I said question B was stronger than question A and I asked ai if it agreed with me and ai agreed. I told ai before that I was thinking of taking out question a and just wanted to know if my answers =okay

I decided to take out question A for several reasons: least is wasn’t too strong I felt like my other responses to different questions were better, I was unsure of what I wrote, I didn’t trust myself completely of the answer I gave to question a, I didn’t want to be seen as using unauthorized collab

Before I ultimately decided to take it out I asked ai if I could take it out and my work wouldn’t be affected. Ai said my work is still strong or good without question A. I asked ai if it agreed with me that I can take out question A and it agreed

I guess to some degree asking a classmate for verification is considered unauthorized collaboration or something. So not wanting to take a chance I decided to ultimately get rid of the question (I can still meet my assignment requirements even if I take out the question and answer)

So I do all my work first. So I asked a classmate for clarification with my hw. It’s for answering a question and my notes and answer to question were off partly because I didn’t trust my notes. Let’s call this question A.

I later explained to the sister in law why I shut down the conversation. She was really cool about it. She is also a Pokemon fan and actually thought my thinking was hilarious (in a good way)

For context….i was so obsessed with pokemon (still am) that i convinced my friends Pokemon will come to life and assigned my friends a pokemon. My friend brought it up during her wedding while talking to her sister in law and i shut down the conversation (in a subtle way) because i was embarrassed
