A local artist traded me some odd objects for some of my art. One was a soup bomb. I assumed ”bomb” meant it was for the bath, maybe a little vegetal. My mom LOVES baths.

Turns out it was soup. In a ball. And my mom had to call for help to get out of the bathtub.

It's awesome that you're doing this and I think it's totally reasonable to limit it to local artists. I'm sure some people have reacted strongly because these kinds of opportunities are unfortunately so rare.

I don't think this was the plan. They've been saying for ages they were going to let the enhanced subsidies expire. I think they just somehow failed to grasp how angry it would make people, and of course, they had no other ideas.
