I've brought this up before but every project I work on has a shot that I call "The Nightmare Shot"... and this is one of them.

It's still rough so any thoughts on how to improve it would be appreciated.

I animated a crotch bulge for the first time because I thought it made the scene funnier. And I was right, it did make the scene funnier.

I also finally finalized this scene, which means I finished a whole music video in 4 months, a new record!

This is the first project in a while where I've animated some new characters, and I wanted to take the opportunity to rework my animation pipeline from the ground up, as I've been a bit unhappy with my art style lately. I've tried some new techniques to give me more control over linework in comp.

Every video I work on has "that shot"; The one shot that is the bane of my existence, and for my next video it's this one.

It's unrendered and I'm still fixing it up so any notes on what people think could improve it are appreciated.

Working on a block in of one of the more complicated shots I've got on my slate. If you have guys have any thoughts on how to improve it before I polish it that would certainly be helpful. Probably gonna leave this up temporarily just for feedback.

Unrendered rig test for a new character design I'm animating. I'm trying out some new things with linework that aren't present here, but should look cool in the final result, should everything go according to plan

First pass WIP of a scene I'm working on. Scenes like this with slow, gradual movement give me a hard time and I've been staring at this for too long to trust my own judgement, so any constructive feedback before I give this another pass is welcome.

WIP Character animation test for an upcoming video. It's unrendered so he'll be getting more details as I go.

Making this short was such a harsh reminder as to how difficult fight choreography is for me. It's something I really want to up my game with on the next one as it's got some cool fantasy set pieces to play with. I want to get better at keeping all players on screen to keep the action tight.

Lately I've been trying to rework my animation pipeline in regards to how I build characters, and the Captain Yarrface design was a bit of a soft launch for some new techniques I'm trying to give me more control over shapes and linework

This was probably my favorite shot to figure out, even if it was the most time consuming to put together. I really liked the idea of both parties being on opposite sides of the ice and flipping upside down to illustrate it. The challenge was making a matte painting that worked with that idea.
