Matisse & Derain exhibited the works from this holiday in the Salon d'Automne 1905, along with others by Camoin, de Vlaminck & Marquet in Salle 7 (room 7). The artists were dismissed by critic Louis Vauxcelles as "les fauves (wild ones). The name stuck & and movement became known as #fauvism
