Finally tried the Arches paper (rough). I do like it very, very much. (It IS a masters' favourite, after all!)
PS: To someone who's tried both Baohong and Arches: which do you prefer?

A scene from the portside fish market in Hamburg, early in the morning. Not completely satisfied with this - I felt pretty rusty because it's been a while. But I do like the colours and it was a good warm up session!

Painted the view outside my window!
The summer lilac bushes are a favourite along the bees and the butterflies. I can spend all day gazing out at the hols and the woods and the local wildlife creating a ruckus outside!

First attempt at #pleinair #watercolourpainting from a couple of weekends ago. Thoroughly enjoyed the experience even though the painting itself got a little too overworked than I prefer because I made some mistakes with the shadows. Definitely recommend painting out in the open!

'Plein-air'-ed this one literally leaning out of my window to paint the peonies blooming below. Mostly done with wet-in-wet watercolour and some negative painting. It reminds me of Manet's peonies, a favourite!
