Asking generic questions and will give you generic answers.

I use it for programming questions and game design ideas generation. It's especially good at summarizing and reformating documents.

AI researchers use story problems to rank their quality.

You need to use it more.

Obviously, it is trained on everything in a library and whatever they could throw at it.

I don't see a problem.

Low-quality AI is just Slop content.. but that is a lazy way to write it off.

Computer art isn't art? Digital painting isn't painting? Journalism, Newspapers, magazines, etc.

I didn't follow the "AI is theft" argument because if you use AI it's obvious it's not a copy.

AI is problematic but not because of the training data.

Just my two cents.

Environmental concerns of my home computer? I live in an area with a very high amount of renewable energy; mostly wind, solar and hydropower.

It's pretty fast on my (cheapo) gaming Desktop!
There are numerous smaller models that work better on smaller systems.
They recommended 16gb of ram on the version of Deepseek I am using.

That would mean they stole something but gave it away for free. However, I don't think that is the case.
Regardless, you can download and run the Deepseek models as they are open-source. Try it out!

Easy peezy:
LM Studio let's you download open-source models and run them locally.
January 27, 2025 at 10:54 PM
Using LM Studio, just run it locally.

Genie doesn't go back in the bottle. Like the home computer, this is just how it is now.

I suggest to just get used to it. Ask for recipes to learn how to converse with it.

Not entirely true because you can run Deepseek locally on a home desktop.
January 27, 2025 at 10:46 PM
Also, you can run it locally with LM Studio.
