Periodicals don't make most of their money from subscription fees. Their profits are generated by advertisers' dollars, and they sell ads based on (print & e-newsletter) subscription numbers and page views and clickthrough rates. So when you subscribe even for $1, you're profiting Bezos.

How does defying a cruel dictator "fully earn" a person villain status? 🤔

And the way the animals are hauled off by force, gagged, and locked in tiny cages feels quite a bit more severe to me than "second-class citizen" status.
