Time for my second Christmas present drawing! This one will be a gift for our mail carrier, who has been amazing to us not just as a crucial part of my business, but as a friend as well. This is Day 1 of my drawing of her dog, Tucker.
Complete! This took 11 days total, working on it in between my regular job. That said, I still need to spray it with fixative, let it dry, scan it for my portfolio, frame it, wrap it, and then the hardest part: Make my 3 year old forget it exists until Christmas. Secrets are not safe here.

Day 9 on the drawing! Those tags and little metal pieces on the collar were tricky and took a whole sitting to flesh out. It's looking promising that I'll be able to finish and frame it this week as long as I can keep up the momentum.

Day 6. The dog's name is Maple, named for her warm brown fur tones. Once completed, we'll frame it for my brother's Christmas present. He adopted Maple this year and they are already best buddies. I made a lot of progress today, seems maybe more than halfway done now!

My customer shared these cool photos with me of the graphic I designed and printed for their Sunny Side Yellow MINI Cooper. Knowing this MINI is running around in Colorado is really neat! I hope to see it in person some day.
