Japanese-American artist Ruth Asawa was our inspiration for paper sculptures made by my SPED artists. Every aspect of creating and displaying were patiently made by each artist. All students should have their works shown. Equity in public schools means representing all students. #apsarts

This has definitely slowed my roll. The Unhappy Triad. I’m directing my students to help flip my classroom between classes rather than forcing it on my own. Kids are amazing when given explicit guidance. Counting blessings through the pain & grateful for strong classroom management & studio respect.

#apsarts #CEP Cultural Experience Project allowed me to take my students to MODA for a fantastic hands-on experience. Students re-imagined a library to elevate literacy engagement to better serve their community and another group redesigned our school parking deck for better inclusivity for all. 🙌🏻🤩

I cannot wait for these to be installed. Over 800 students collaborated in the different stages of our murals. Sway talked to my AP seniors about the process… In a sea of anxiety, be a source of joy. #apsarts #northatlantaart #edusky #artmatters

My chocolate lab serenaded the neighbors letting them know that this is his first snow. He barked the whole walk. The band plays on by the pond be it in the sun, moonlight, rain or snow. Happy Snow Day in Georgia!

I love sitting in the quiet, enjoying the Christmas Tree, remembering all of our journeys and adventures that are captured in our ornament collection. Probably my most favorite ornament of them all is the one with the little footprints of our girls from their first Christmas.

If you happen to travel to Memphis, TN, my favorite nail salon to visit is Nailology. The atmosphere is so fun; there’s a sweet bar inside, plenty of space for a ladies (or men’s) gathering: it’s got a great de stressing vibe all around. I chose the chrome disco ball look for New Years. #nailology

AP Art final gingerbread house builds did not disappoint! a lighthouse, a jail- gummy bears were running amok in the yard, a stadium, a corral for the reindeer, and The Tower of Babel with the languages represented by the various colors of gummy bears. Clever, fun, and a great artistic challenge.

My NAHS art student is is a semi-finalist to have her original artwork literally sent to the moon on a NASA Lunar Codex mission. I am excited for this kiddo’s future: already landing amongst the stars. ✨ The rendering of her mother was what was chosen. Word to yer Mama. 🙌🏻 🌖 #apsarts #edusky
