Yeah exactly that! They're copies of the proper alternate versions of that reality.. And yes, they disappear when the main body leaves the City 😄

The alternate versions of Ava have always existed 😄 It's just that a copy of them pops up in Nexus City when one of the Ava's steps in for her consciousness to take control of.. it's a really weird phenomenon.

Yeah! So.. what happens is that Ava’s alternate selves exist elsewhere in their own respective realities, doing their own thing. If an outsider like Ava steps into the city, the Prism splits Ava’s consciousness into copies of her AU selves. If another AU Ava steps in, they split the load between-

-realities aren't really there in the same space at the same time. The alternate versions of them are off living their own lives doing their own things.

For example, if Ava walks into Nexus City, she'll suddenly exist in 4 realities, taking on the form of her AU counterpart.
