I earned two degrees. I worked in education some here and then overseas. When I came back to the states, the local government was talking about taking away teacher pensions.
I ended up in manufacturing like my dad, and have been there ever since, making more after 6 years than a 30 year teacher.

The other day we had 7Brew and I got a 24oz soda.
Or rather, I thought it was 24oz. Turns out the fill line is 12oz. I was so pissed at how much ice it was that I measured out twelve ounces of water at home and then... with the ice, the cup was full.
I feel like I'm the only one mad about it.

I had a really good time at Great Wolf Lodge earlier this week. My MagiQuest wand from at least 15 years ago still worked and had my info on it. The workers throughout the resort were all incredibly nice, especially considering that the four of us childless adults were just goofin the whole time.

I'm still not much of a drinker but Crafted sure makes a lot of great meads. The presentation of flights in bee boxes with numbers by the glasses is a nice touch. I wish we were closer to the brewery just to hang out more.

I still don't understand how you can have a job with three shifts, doing the same work in the same area with the same tools... and you can decide to fuck over the other shifts by stealing tools, leaving no stock, not returning any of the FIVE batteries to the chargers, and throwing trash everywhere.

There's something really nice about listening to a podcast I have avoided for years now (from stress; it's a political podcast) and hearing that they still use my suggested title for one of their segments.

Thanks to @meadbreath.bsky.social 's quick action checking what the noise was, we narrowly avoided a house fire from a faulty electrical outlet... That our very new washing machine was plugged into and full of my clothes 😫
