I'm so over the moon that I got to meet Wil Wheaton at the Knoxville Fanboy Expo this year. I did this acrylic painting of his character from ST: Prodigy and he looked so jazzed to sign it. It was NOT easy to reproduce the colors or layers from the show. #startrek #wilwheaton @wilwheaton.net

In 2020, I attempted to copy one of the Fayoum portraits using casein tempera. The Fayoum portraits are part of an ancient portrait tradition that informed the practice of Byzantine iconography. The originals were done in encaustic but I have no experience with that. #fayoum #art #traditionalart

The proceeds from the sale of this painting will go to support the Beagle Freedom Project, which is currently rehabilitating 55 new beagles that were rescued from lab testing. More info coming soon.
