sketch page in the mood for more environments, may as well explore Atresco. Left: In the midtown of the capital of the nation, South-West Atresco ES300DC #14 slowly traverses the pedestrian-heavy streets of Atresco City, heading back to the main yard after light switching duties. Due to local laws enforced by city and government officials (somehow), the South-West Atresco's interurban network has been electrified. It helps that the employees like using the electric engines, despite how stuffy it gets during the summer. Right: Mundo Nuevo Railroad LP-5 #1148 crosses one of Atresco's land borders back home; the river Atan divides Atresco and its neighbor, Reineste (tenative name), deep in the Gran Desert. Take note of the guard tower on the Atrescoan side, a remnant of old tension that existed between the Atrescoan Consulate and Reineste, once staunch rivals. It's been over a century, though, and with the former no longer existing, the guard post seldom sees military activity. You're more likely to find squatters and nearby locals there, having given the building a new purpose beyond its historical context.

recently, a story idea occurred to me about an alternate history where dinosaurs are an invasive species in the southern US and how society and the environment adjusts. its wacky and a bit out there, but i like the idea. i might do more with it. at least i get to draw cool dinosaurs lol

tysm!!! the intention with it is that it is supposed to hinge open and have some kind of spell within it. necromancy summoning probably. a friend suggested to me after thinking about agatha from pokemon, so i implemented it. very happy with how it turned out !

Silvia Altigre!! OC for a larger story project of mine. A railknight (hire guard for the railway) that is also capable of making magic spells (ultra rare). she doesn’t get along with the main characters in the slightest. oh and she’s a necromancer (below is some sketches when i redid her months ago)

Long ago, before the Tallaha Railway was formed, many railways criss-crossed through the Ferro Mountains. Back then, the railways were very early in its technological development. The Ferro Mountains were rough on the trains, full of steep hills and winding curves on the contours of the mountains, and its railways had not figured out how to properly manage them. It was not easy to journey through them, especially as mining and resources from the west and east had to keep going through it. On the Sallison Railway, up in the north of Atresco, they knew this quite well. On one of its few main lines, there was one challenge that was particular tough. It was a steep grade which had to climb up through the mountains at a very steep gradient. It may not look like much, but for the heavy trains the railway pulled, it was brutal. At the top was a small rest stop for the railway, but at the very bottom was a town; not a particular large town, but it wasn't too small. The main line turned right above the town, where the grade ends. This made both railway workers and the town worried; in the worst-case scenario, where there is a runaway train on this stretch, it would inevitably lead to one outcome. And one day, this concern became a *horrifying* reality...
