That’s the thing- it’s not supposed to be jail. Jail implies that that have had due process and sentencing and the possibility or release.

I’m not certain that this is accurate, but I did read that the child was deported with the mom and older sibling so they weren’t alone, which is small comfort. Regardless, it looks like due process was neglected and the poor dad wasn’t given an opportunity to testify, make requests or say goodbye.

Ah, that makes sense. They really should have a separate way of letting drivers indicate if they want to be matched again or not.
