My favorite: Artemis the Great, from Efes/Ephesus

What is controversial for my fellow Artemesian priestesses, is the forms that later adorn the Artemises of Selcuk and Efes. Described as breasts I often thought they were symbolic breasts, born from this earlier image, but might hold something else. Perhaps spring waters from her sacred springs....

Perhaps they were full of something else, like medicinal or sacred herbs or resins. I feel it would be the latter as this time was during an incense trade that shared the body (the incense ingredients were considered actually perfumes of the bodies of god)
