Oh nice!! Thank you for the suggestion. I’m going to look into this. Honestly I’m willing to do a lot for sleep I know I’d be feeling so much better if I could just sleep right now.

We are doing our best! Fur babies are still at joeys moms place we’re at his place in the city because I needed to check my place and he has to be in office today. I go back to work tomorrow so we’ll see. Still no water to the entire building. Going on day 4. :(

Worse bc I had a very specific way of sleeping on the mattress to make it work. But I can’t bc of the pain in my arms. So I’m severely sleep deprived rn and still in pain and in pain in places I shouldn’t be 😅

A couple ppl convinced me back in 22 I needed memory foam. I think I have a nectar? My problem is I’m dense. Like I do not float in water well dense so the memory foam doesn’t support my body like it claims, I just sink, end up in these weird divets. It’s been worse since being inpatient last week.

I’m not above doing education in my free time, honestly I have bought a lot of my own reading materials, text books, etc. I do a lot of journal reading in my free time but that email… what a slap in the face.

And I absolutely cannot stand that women’s and children’s health gets shoved to the side almost always bc we don’t make the hospitals money. So now we’re in this vicious cycle of we don’t get appropriately paid or compensated for the work we do, and we still put pts at risk bc of staffing.

I know the general consensus is that nurses make bank, and we’re typically mean girls, but we also get dropped on a lot. My management team is so fixated on their nurse to patient ratio which puts us and the patients at danger. (our nicu has been so high acuity as of late it’s putting pts at risk.)
