I really enjoy Kierkegaard. Philosophy is my favorite thing to read and I don’t actually have anything against it. I think it is fun to poke holes in the ones that are overly confident or overly skeptical.

I sometimes think of philosophy as fancy feces because it is like a polished turd smeared over reality helping us feel like we understand the complex world. It fills the cracks and pockmarks to make the world easier to pretend we understand.

Yes! Ortega y Gasset is also one I enjoy reading. Guattari is like watching someone do beautiful aesthetic acrobatics while making deconstruction digestible.

I was big into Gutai in art school in the early 00s too. There is something so rewarding and anchoring about doing big ink and brush paintings.
