In the After, we have activities. I bought a couple of coloring books from @poorlycatdraw.bsky.social and colored a brown tabby. These are watercolor pencils so it’ll end up looking different if I ever add water. Who knows.

Welp, we took Guinivere on her final big park sniffari. I am so grateful for the borrowed wagon because it was extremely necessary. Her heart wanted to be on the ground but her body could not. This was taken at the halfway point, before we made her stay in the wagon.

In terms of actual cookbooks, we have several! Of the books pictured, our most-used are Vegan with a Vengeance (my 2nd copy), Power Vegan, Bacon-ish, and The Korean Vegan (which was also a blog I shared). The substitution book is also extremely helpful.

I eat a gluten free and vegan diet which means I especially can’t trust establishments to treat me kindly so we brought ALL THE SNACKS.

In the future, I’d like to suggest the fanciest waffles as a possibility. This was vegan but it doesn’t have to be! Brioche waffles with whipped cream, strawberries, and sprinkles! We were celebrating the adult child turning 21 today.

This weather has given me that super thin post nasal drip (I wasn’t taking all my meds, sigh). Today the fatigue & cold hit me, but Griffin doesn’t want to leave my side. She tried to crawl into my outer scarf (I’m wearing 2). I’ve started a new audiobook while I’m trapped & toasty.

This weather has given me that super thin post nasal drip (I wasn’t taking all my meds, sigh). Today the fatigue & cold hit me, but Griffin doesn’t want to leave my side. She tried to crawl into my outer scarf (I’m wearing 2). I’ve started a new audiobook while I’m trapped & toasty.
I read a lot of books in 2024. I made a concentrated effort to read more graphic novels and comics that were outside my comfort zone. And apparently I only DNF 15 books! Pretty impressive.

I’m pretty sure this is the first time in my life I’ve experienced snow on the ground during Christmas. What a wild time.

In my adulthood I am leaning in towards the imperfection of things. And the craftiness. So that means that if I don’t have the right size frame, I’m putting it on a tissue paper background.

An alternative to an e-collar for kitties is a sock filled with other socks and safety pinned together. Kai found fleas on the dog, then found them on everyone so everyone’s getting treated. I think this is all because a neighbor tore out their wild yard.

Can you identify this? We were watching a squirrel eat it and don’t know what it might be. Roughly golf ball sized before consumption.
