Some beautiful photos of artist, writer, activist David Wojnarowicz by his friend & one time lover Peter Hujar on display at Raven Row Gallery, London. Wojnarowicz's memoir 'Close to the Knives' is a must read for insights into LGBTQ life of the 1970s & 80s.

'A Woman Ironing' (1873) by Edgar Degas is to this day one of the best & unopinionated insights into a working class existence. She is who she is, nothing more, nothing less. The novel 'L'Assommoir' (1877) by Émile Zola tells in words her story that Degas captures in paint. Two masterpieces.

Bringing the past to the present.....Luke Jerram's installation 'Helios' (2025) at the Old Royal Navy Hall in Greenwich shows just why it's always great for contemporary artists to work with historic locations, just super!
