No, that is thankfully not a requirement 😅. Generally authors should make sure their contract does not combine the royalties from one book with those of another. That way if one book does poorly but another does well, their respective royalties do not affect each other. #kidlitchat

It gets added to the running tab against future royalties… not sure what happens if there are no future royalties 😓
