The tree and wood clearance surrounding Sizewell has seen the destruction of the paths and trails that the local deer population use to travel between food sources.
I don't know what the beast was whose spine I found on the Sizewell Gap yesterday, but it had yielded a crow or two a pudding.

Emotions bounced from poignancy to anger on Sizewell beach today for a gathering to remember the indefatigable and brilliant Pete Wilkinson, who was a co-founder of both @friends_earth and @greenpeaceuk.bsky.social

Throwback to The Stool Pigeon when I shot the fabulous Pink Grease at a dive in the backstreets of Angel (Electrowerkz?). I still wear (and wash) the pin badge.

14x14 popular group show opening at The Old Theatre. @luketurner.bsky.social there were 11 chore coats in the room. A murder of crows were eating pheasant in the evening sun (B1122). I went to the chippy in Saxmundham and sat in the glow of the same sun waiting for the train home while I ate.

The opening of @karendensham 'Poor Form' show in Saxmundham (pics 1 to 3). Then on the 7 mile cycle through the newly green countryside to Framlingham (B1122) I saw this dead fledgling which made me sad that it had got so close to making it (pic 4).

Anything more erect than the state of Florida and you're in trouble.

The shape of my dad's whetstones display the labour and attention he put into keeping his beloved Swibo filleting knives razor sharp when he worked on the fish market.

I used the stones today to hone my secateurs, and as Cromwell would shout in Mantel's Wolf Hall: "Put an edge on it".

A shot of me taken outside my house in the mid-80s before construction had begun on Sizewell B.
It's my old friends car.

Today's bird book is the 1959 edition of Spring Books 'BIRDS OF FIELD AND FOREST'. Produced in Czechoslovakia with text written by Ondřej Štěpánek, and birds beautifully painted by Eduard Demartini. I put in the wagtail because there are always lots of them wagging around in our High street.

My 'modern' Brooks saddle has finally given up the ghost (pic1).
I've gone old-school with this classic that I've been saving for years (pic 2). My big ass is bouncing on this sprung beauty.

This floppy disc came from an actual font shop in Islington (I know how brilliant is that?). It contains one of the first fonts I ever bought (yes kids, bought) a beautiful Emigre font called Citizen (Bold & Light). I first used it for the masthead on adrenalin magazine so it was the summer of 1999.
