New Orleans has been designated by @indivisible.org as one of 10 anchor cities in the country! The Great Lawn on the Greenway between Galvez and Prieur was chosen because it’s a huge open space that can accommodate the amount of people anticipated. It’s really lovely down there and family friendly.

Save this file and print it out. Put it in your window. Give them to your neighbors. Tack one up in your neighborhood on a utility pole. Put them up in your favorite coffee shop. Gather your people and meet us on the Greenway! Last time we had 7000. This time we’re shooting for twice that!

haven't shared any cute kitten pics lately. she's growing up so fast!! i settled on Dusti as her name - for my favorite Gulf Coast abstract expressionist Dusti Bongé. i swear some days she is the only thing keeping me going. (i love my other cat Lily but she is often bitchy and rarely lovey dovey.)

well that was fun, howling. or really, for me it was more screaming. it is still hard for me to scream, post brain surgery, due to damage to my vocal cords/nerves in my throat, but i did my best. and it felt great! if you didn't make it tonight, join us next month on the full moon! #howlloud #nola

i adopted her from zeus' rescues and made it official last week. we're battling persistent worms/diarrhea which is no fun but she's bringing so much joy to my life. they named her lafitte and i've wanted to change it but haven't come up with something better yet that suits her.

i wish i could remember to check in here more often. too many social media accounts, too little time. i think i haven't even told y'all about my new kitten!! she's been w/me 2.5 weeks now and she's 3 months old, a grey/white tuxedo. she's adorable and feisty and surprisingly my other cat likes her.

Just a reminder that there are several weekly pop-up pro-democracy protests in New Orleans. They don’t usually last longer than 20-60 minutes and are fairly small groups of neighbors standing out on a street corner with signs reminding us all to stand up to fascism. #resist

Friends found this dog this A.M. Message me if you recognize her OR can foster while they continue to look for the owner because this dog is in good shape and to me appears like she has a home. The folks who found her already have a full household of pets and can’t keep her. 1/2

i was hanging w/friends last night & when one of them got home (freret area) she sent me video of her block flooded. we both figured water main break. i saw folks posting here about low water pressure. that was around 11:45. love that it took them til 1:30 to issue the boil water advisory.

Well we made it in! Went right for the balcony so we didn’t have to wait in another line for floor seats.
