Oh no! Not the #metaverse shutting down. WHO COULD HAVE SEEN THIS COMING?!

So far two weeks in with #grapheneos and my phone has never been more awesome. Running the main OS without any Play Services and have all the Google stuff inside of the container that shuts down when I lock my phone.

So far I've only had one application, a bank app that does not want to install […]

Who made this mess in my downloads folder?

I used to snap pictures of decaying phone booths, but I don't really see those any more. Redbox machines might have to be my new favorite urban relic of a time-gone-by. Like tears in the rain.

My legal name is Arthur Reeder. There's an AI platform called artbreeder. To bad my middle name doesn't start with a B.

Just saw a commercial for Chic-Fil-A and everyone was dancing. I thought that way against their religion?

My journey so far with @GrapheneOS has been awesome.

Having a main system #degoogled but able to grab access to the few proprietary apps I use is awesome. Sadly the Transit app I rely on REQUIRES the play store.

I've spent a lot of money on tablets, surface laptops, and stylus pens. I've done more drawing on a cheap USB HUION Inspiroy H610X tablet than I ever did on my Samsung Ultra Tablet.

There's probably a lesson to be learned here or something.

Good news: My Chinese brand Redmi earbuds work without Google Play services.

Bad News: Because of the trade war, I have to side load it, and claim I live in Canada to install it.

I've successfully installed #grapheneos on my Google Pixel 9 XL. All the Google Play stuff that I need is tucked away in a little private container and only thing on my main phone are free and open source applications.

Microsoft: You can only use newer hardware on Windows 11

Linux Users: Go off, King

AI Companies: All new RAM will be more expensive!

Linux Users: **buys used hardware** Have fun with that

My office we use Discord for video calls. Less than ideal, but it was championed by my teammates who use it for gaming.

Today we couldn't get video calls working, so I dropped in a #jitsi link.

Thank goodness for Jitsi.

I think the most shocking and telling part is how transparent the whole invasion is. No "weapons of mass destruction" or anything. Just a strait up "We want the oil".

Like thugs robbing a liquor store.

Went to an arcade tonight that actually has pinball and vintage arcade games.

I saw #wargasm in Anaheim last year, and they put on one hell of a show. I don't seem them coming back to the US any time soon, and I can't blame them.

"You'll never work harder than when you cut corners" I say to myself as I attach cable management on the bottom of my desk without clearing it off first.

My Mom painted the room that is now my office a color we affectionately call Pepto Pink. Tonight I bought the paint to bring the color temperature down a bit.

Los Angeles has food deserts too. Probaly every big city has at least one. Could we set up a few of public grocery stores too?

These only serve areas without other options.

Op-ed: Public Grocery Stores Already Exist and Work Well. We Need More.
Government-run, nonprofit grocery systems can better respond to food-price inflation, corporate consolidation, and inequality.
