building drones is a totally reachable skillset for many people. and both the knowledge and resources needed to make drones are readily available/cheap

These drones are akin to machine guns being widely introduced in WWI

they will rapidly get more and more sophisticated, and there will be inevitably be drones which can attack automatically without humans (if that isn’t happening already)

things could get out of control real fast

this is literally the beginnings of a worldwide drone warfare arms race.
