I'm sure I'll think of something better to put here someday, but for now, I'm just here for some politics, humor, and knitting :)

Unrelated: I was once told that no kidnapper would keep me because I am "just too mouthy". 🤷‍♀️
1/2: This is the Gzhel Wrap by Alina Appasova in a green gradient kit by Miss Babs (with white peppercorn for the background), purchased in Rhinebeck in 2022. #knitting #knit #knitsky

And here's another one, "Rose of the North" by Anne Lise Maigaard. The swatch for this project is my profile picture. #knitting #knit #knitsky 🧶

Finally got around to taking some knitting photos. Here's a couple of the project in my banner, "Peace, Love and Knitting" by Anna Dalvi.

Things have generally gone a bit pear shaped lately; this was a well timed find.

So...I definitely couldn't fit all 8 oz on the bobbin when plying. I got to about 6.5 oz and had to admit defeat. The last ~1.5 oz is in a separate, smaller skein, but it's ok, I'm good at hiding ends :) The color in the 1st pic is more accurate than the 2nd. 1/2

I got it all on one bobbin! 8oz of merino/yak/silk from The Sheep Shed at Mountain View Farm. Hopefully I can still fit it on one bobbin when it's time to ply. This was a beautiful blend to spin, absolutely love it. The photo doesn't do it justice - the sheen is gorgeous!

I finally had enough calamondins to make something instead of just snacking on them as they ripen. I made marmalade!

Here's my most recent stress knitting project, "Peace, Love and Knitting" by Anna Dalvi, knit in White Birch Fiber Arts. This took about 2.5 weeks, though I was hoping to make it last a little longer! Next up is "Rose of the North", a shawl by Anne-Lise Maigaard.
