on a sidenote, speaking of needless overoptimizing detail. add some slight amount of flashing, make the surface slightly wavy and make it thicker around holes of thin surfaces. a sidenote of a sidenote, hyperfixating on injection molding is an endless blackhole that leaves you sad cause no money

some of my friends does this, heavy on the decal and such. very much so not for me, i'm probably being too particular about it but i feel like the detail should inform the design to some degree

I feel like personally when i see this kind of thing, i struggle to think that these people play games. Like what do these people think games are for? If someone isn't bored of a game, the won't need new AI games, if they're bored, the AI game will be equally boring

-- I think empathy should go both ways. I don't condone ignorance but I don't want ignorant people to be turned off from learning empathy also. I understand that some people are willingly ignorant but i do kind of hope that's not the majority of ignorant people

oh yeah, absolutely. I mostly don't disagree. What I guess i'm trying to say is that white people (not me) get too much flak for being a bit ignorant and relating it way too much about themselves. I feel like if it seems like genuine ignorance, we should inform them not be snide. --

there is no way to interpet it other than self-centered ness. but idk, maybe we can tackle that self-centered ness with slightly more grace. lots of people can only understand&emphatize their own experience. For a lot of people, that's not a lot. It's embarassing but it does not need to be damning.

I can't say that I have a say in this cause I am failing pretty badly. but, if you can, lowering expectations is not a bad idea? Lowering expectations can mean a lot of things. You can have a lot less/complex work but still be disciplined to start work on time and not touch it on time also
