Text saying: He feels burdened by the responsibilities of being a Commander Officer, having to be in charge of an entire ship, which holds approximately tens of thousands of soldiers. He never aspired to reach such a high rank in the military. In fact, the reason he was promoted to Commanding Officer as a mere soldier is that he survived a horrible event, which cost him his leg and his psychological well-being. He was one of three survivors out of ten thousand who were on his previous ship. As the military's most disciplined and most talented pilot, while still recovering from said traumatic event, the military took advantage of Vegeta's vulnerability and forged his signature, forcing him to stay in service, while also promoting him to Commanding Officer with no prior experience. Not only that, he was prohibited from piloting a mobile suit (a Gundam), which means that he cannot legally pilot one. Fighting in a mobile suit was a passion of his, and taking that away affected his well-being significantly. He was also greatly underpaid (and was not aware until years later). He was going through all of that + he was still mourning the loss of his former comrades, who had helped him through college (who had died from that same event I mentioned before).
