'His office hours are poorly attended, because he teaches it right the first time.'
Can't believe what a fool he is. The chance of cementing a reputation as a promotion specialist with #Boro exchanged for beingna relegation specialist with Wolves.

It's Deadwood Deadwood Deadwood. Deadwood's a greater piece of work than at least 3 of these programmes. It's pure art. God I love Deadwood.

Sorry, Sorrows and Dracula are *good bad* books! I'm getting my terms confused.

I think this is a valid take! I suspect the perfect thing about Joyce is that he is simultaneously good-bad AND bad-good.

It surely is!
The emblematic bad good books are The Sorrows of Satan and, of course, Dracula.
My go-too examples of bad good books are anything by D.H. Lawrence.

After uni he was incredibly kind - reading, advising, advocating for me, & sending me Smiths bootlegs. Such an unfair loss.
This week I cited him in my work and it was incredibly sad.
I still talk about good-bad books and bad-good books, which came from UG discussions with him.

This is awful to hear. He was a marvellous teacher and colleague.
