1000XM4, the software for configuring them is called SoundConnect. Maybe things have gotten better with the 1000XM5s.

The software on the Sony headphones leaves a lot to be desired. e.g. It will forget that I turned off the speak to chat feature and drop the volume to zero when I call the dog during walks. They pair with two devices, which is nice, but sometimes it stays connected to one device which isn’t playing.
