I turned off my watch history and that seems to have done the trick, they don't show up or autoplay at all anymore (I can still see shorts from people I'm subscribed to on that page)

the jumpscares were cheap and overused, the allegories were muddled af, and all the "scary" bits were highkey transphobic/homophobic when examined past the surface level
