Just to stop incorrect info from spreading: the issue wasn't with new accounts vs edits, it was about only checking for exact matches

They only check the first part of the handle and only if it is on their domain. It's just a reservation system

To add to PSA: there are some non-offensive reserved words on there that you can (and should) use for testing

You haven't fixed anything, I can still include (hopefully harmless) word from your banned list in 2 ways, and the reason for that is that volunteers had to adapt a system that wasn't designed for that

Also this was kind of expected, they weren't even able to evaluate that volunteer contribution didn't address the problem at all before releasing the statement claiming that fix
