And you'll also see advice on maxing out all spell levels through going back and forth in the menu. That's not necessarily a good idea. Like the most cost effective out of combat healing is repeated casting of your heal spell at level 1.

Some boss attack damage isn't a set number, but instead a percentage of a character's max HP. And if you do the exploit to grind that really high, that damage is going to outpace the healing you're able to do.

I have a friend who insists that the advice on how to break the game is why people have a bad time with FF2. Like did you know that if you do that trick where you hit your own party repeatedly to build up your HP, that actually makes the game harder, not easier?

That's the thing: you still get and eat food. Full eating animation and everything. My Cow is a cannibal. And she didn't even get a cool hat for it.

You cannot combine parts of costumes, and you select them as separate characters, but you can also swap to a costume tied to the track if you eat food mid race. Also, not all characters get additional costumes. Like Cow is forever naked.
