The idea is that reality changes. For example if you vividly remember a character wearing a hat, but it turns out they NEVER wore a hat. The big explanation given is that it's a glitch in the universe. That an alternative universe bled in, or that you got memories from a different universe.

I was told voters were conflicted between their morals and their wallet and ended up voting with their wallet, the morals sure got thrown out but that wallet sure seems to be getting emptied too 🤦
