I paint things, mostly nature, mostly on clothes or walls. Here to connect with nature lovers and artists.

Took this photo from the train this week while on my way #home from a long journey. Though I tried to minimise the reflection in the glass the train’s strip lights in the middle of the clouds are still quite visible.

I posted this three months ago and it continues to be the most #summer photo I took this year so I’m reposting it for this week’s #blueskyartshow theme.
Was recently having a drink outside and when I lifted up my beer to finish it I enjoyed the way the evening sun lit up the golden colours, so I tried to take a photo. The picture has a certain familiar feeling for me. Thought it might make a contribution to today’s #blueskyartshow theme #vibrant

I saw this incredibly thick cloud last week under an otherwise clear sky.

I painted this ages ago and never listed it because I decided it needed more bubbles (just scattered everywhere imo). Grateful for the fact that the #blueskyartshow theme today is #shiny because it’s reminded me that I need to redo this.

I particularly love painting things that shine, glow, and sparkle when I’m using bleach on black fabric. Just seems like a good medium for it.

Don’t know what this is but it’s certainly #jagged

I would like to express my #Gratitude for whichever other neighbour throws seeds on to the patch of dirt in the middle of the courtyard that all our flats share. I get to see constantly changing blossoming plants when I walk out the door.

I didn’t think I’d have anything for this weeks theme, but had a look through my photos and realised I’m often asking people to stand #sideways because I want pictures of the art I’m making from every angle. Maybe not the most aesthetically pleasing images, but they fit the brief ✅

Photo I took a few days ago of someone who needed to #GetOutside doing just that.

This is the first draft of a shirt design but I like how it turned out so I’m keeping it. I enjoy painting the #moon and #mountains and #rivers so I wanted to do them all at once.

There’s a lot of misinformation about the stonewall riot, who took part, who denounced them, what they were defending. A reminder, in case you haven’t listened to it yet, of these podcast episodes that clarify a lot workingclasshistory.com/podcast/e25-... #pride #lgbt

Something that brings me a lot of #joy: when the flowers are taking over.

I expect this is a photo of a joyous occasion as nothing fills me with #joy as much as eating and feeding.

My favourite of my recent designs and the most fun to do. The restrictions of #gender and categories of #sexualorientation are put on us all, and being #queer is the resulting marginalisation, without which #lgbtpride wouldn’t exist. #bodilyautonomy and #freedomofassociation are not too much to ask.

I don’t make a lot of #vibrant art but was drawing with friends from memory. Couldn’t photograph the colours when I’d seen it in person, but the turquoise and orange reflection mix made each colour brighter. My impression with crayons didn’t do it justice, believe me it looked great. #BlueskyArtShow

I’ve been writing on clothes recently, and some of it is particularly suitable for June so I wrote some listings yesterday. I might post them all separately as well but here is the current collection. a-room-with-a-view.co.uk/paintings-of...
I’ll post the Etsy links below too.

“That's your solution to everything, to move under the sea. It's not going to happen!”
I went to the beach recently when the tide was further out than I’d ever seen it, so I wandered around on the sea floor. Didn’t meet any friendly crustaceans but it was still very cool.

My last contribution to #blueskyartshow for the theme #lightandshadow Bleach on black fabric is a medium particularly well suited to subjects that are bright in the middle of the dark and I particularly like painting anything that’s glowing like this.
May 25, 2025 at 8:57 AM
I paint a lot of #lightandshadow themed images as my paintings are often surrounded by darkness and so get more shadowy on the edges, so this is my second contribution to this week’s #blueskyartshow This one is quite a classic subject when it comes to things lit up in the middle of the dark.

This week’s theme at #BlueSkyArtShow
is #LightAndShadow Forgive me for sharing an otherwise quite inappropriately timed picture.

The theme of this week’s #Blueskyartshow is #Texture so originally I just wanted to show you this close up of my work because real chanterelles have a cool texture. Then I saw that in one photo the fabric texture is also visible. I enjoy being able to see the individual stitches.

This week’s theme at #BlueskyArtShow is #lines. I originally designed these for Halloween but they’ve became an all year round thing and more popular than anything else I’ve done. Every week I’m painting lines, it’s got quite calming in its repetition.
