Lilith Fair doc gets an A++ grade from me. The Sinead segment was pretty emotional, but overall it was fun revisiting better days for 90 minutes or so. Plus, I got to say, ‘Hey, there’s Kelly Willis!” a couple of times, which was a cool bonus.

Always thought it was really cool that Greg Dulli handed the vocal duties for ‘My Curse’ over to Marcy Mays from the band Scrawl. Her weary and bruised vocal is so powerful on the album version, and she is riveting in this live performance.

Re-watched “Switchblade Sisters” last night. It’s been a number of years since my last viewing, and I forgot what a fun watch it is. Everything is so wonderfully over the top. Exploitation/Cult movies are a nice distraction from the actual insanity going on each day in the real world.

It feels like Karyn White had a small window of time on the scene, but she made damn good use of that time by releasing sone absolute classics of that New Jack Swing era. Seriously underrated.

Really enjoyed the SNL Homecoming concert special overall, but I wish they would have let Robyn perform ‘Dancing On My Own’ solo all the way through. Although I love David Byrne, I don’t feel like he added enough to the second half to really justify his inclusion. It was still great though.

I’ve now seen “A Complete Unknown” 3 times. There’s probably only one or two other films I’ve ever paid money to see in a theater 3 times. It’s not the best film released in 2024, but it is the film that I enjoyed the most from 2024. And as a Dylan fan, I’m thrilled with the way the movie turned out

Seems like a lot of people have a lot of super strong opinions on the surviving members of Nirvana performing their songs with some very talanted female artists. Folks, remember, it was a hastily assembled benefit performance, and it was live.
