I think often about this experiment at Harvard showing active learning upped test scores by 33%... but students thought they were learning more from non-active lectures

The problem: being challenged is the key to learning BUT we hate challenges, they are hard & make you realize how little you know.

Let’s start a convo - Of all of the comparisons for AI (is it the new electricity? Internet? Etc...) I think comparing it to the rise of the railroad is the most accurate. Technology needed isn't necessarily new, just applied differently. 1/2

I’ve had people say they fell behind on AI. My first recommendation to them is to read www.oneusefulthing.org. My second is to remind them to read, listen or click that next story about AI and just read. Awareness is step one. #EduSky #AI

I think a big hindrance for education to adopt AI agents are the data security requirements we have for S info. Their info should be protected, which is why education can’t experiment as freely with AI as some businesses. Until there are more “closed gardens” adoptions will be stuck with wrappers.

I learned that “Help me write this” is now available through Chrome. This is an AI option that Ts and Ss have access to just by keeping their browser up to date.
AI is here and readily available, it is imperative we start teaching Ss when, how and why to use AI appropriately. #AI #Education #Edusky
