Oh, oh joy. Aabria: "I ate my M&M..." 😂 When Gamechanger needs content, the solution appears to be manipulating the Dimension20 folks for our enjoyment.

Last week my favourite LMM fuck-up was getting that someone's "breasts jounced", proving that enough mistyped words will eventually alter their use. Today it's "The silk of his linen was cold as ice.", which is wrong in such a unique and specific way.

My latest campaign of Brindlewood Bay just wrapped after 11 months, reskinned the setting to Faerûn at the request of my players. Genuinely, a delight at every turn! They thwarted the cult by swapping the Box for a mimic they rescued in an earlier mystery; it then ate cult leader Amanda Krause. 📦🚪🫖

Heartbroken to find my beloved The Rounds has been sold to Misfits Market and basically my entire shopping list is gone. We relied on it for Philly fresh bakery items out here in MontCo and it will be greatly missed.

If I ask if you "Want to join my D&D game?" You can be sure of two things: 1) You're already on track to be one of my dear friends, and 2) Whatever we're about to do, isn't Hasbro Dungeons and Dragons™. I just say that to get people to answer my texts.

Look at this STUNNING cover. And what a fascinating topic!
I am so very pleased to share the cover of my forthcoming book on the history of the Girl Scouts, forthcoming in October.

I think UNC Press did such a beautiful job with the cover. Those are actually my badges from when I was a girl. Even the stitching is my own.

So my girlfriend is an amazing stop motion animator, and she recently did a medieval cat themed bumper for Adult Swim!

Sharing it here because she only has Instagram and I think everyone needs to see her animations. She's so freaking talented, y'alls. PLEASE go follow her!

New Action Button: L.A. Noire dropped yesterday evening and we've been slow-dripping it ever since. It's dense. It's also almost 10 hours long. Might finish it tonight?

Thank you to the NP student this week at my PCP office who whispered, "You're so organized!" while flipping through my symptom log. I wanted to cry with gratitude. No request for a complicated referral comes without some anxiety, but feeling seen like that made the appointment a lot easier.

Is Reddit having another purge? Lemmy.world has been like stepping back into the pre-2010 web for the last year; small communities, raw 💩memes, and new groups cropping up all the time.

I've worked in software dev briefly, but anyone interested in complex systems should understand tech debt and this is an excellent explanation of that concept and how it appears in all kinds of systems, and our laws.

I spent the morning discussing how Daria Morgendorffer represents the Gen X ideal of a Millennial, rather than what we were or became over time, with ChatGPT. Not sure it was productive, but it was fun.

As a (former) librarian, many people ask me what I do with books they no longer need. I take mine to the local Better World Books dropoff. I originally met them at a library conference years ago and was struck by their great service and I've been happy to use them since.

My psych doc today: 'In residency, we called Paxil the Devil's SSRI—too many interactions, hard to get off of.' So, now I'm back on the Anxiety Med Carousel™️. 🎠I also get to call the pharmacy and explain that: No, I won't be taking all these at the same time. 🎡

I threw on Les Misérables (10th Anniversary Dream Cast) this morning for no reason at all. Just a story about injustice, abusive cops, wealth gaps, and a revolution in the streets. Totally irrelevant. Yep. No parallels here.
