Looking for my destination at the crossroads of history, economics and law.
Yesterday, I listened to Timothée Parrique on the ceteris paribus podcast and he said some things that stuck with me. Especially his discourse on the way we tell stories in development economics (and much of economic history) is teleological in the sense that it propagandises constant econ. growth.

Adjacent to my previous thought, I was thinking about the narrative template’s (Hayden White) in economic history. I can conjure op plenty of examples of tragedies and romances, but no satires or comedies. There seems to be only narratives about advancement or deterioration in economic history.

Hi, I have a problem for the economists and historians on here. How do I deal with the fact that my history professors deem it anathema to talk about historical laws and my economics professors seem to be talking about economic laws as if it were a religion?
