Poilievre just wrapped his final press conference of the campaign, in Saskatoon.
I went to more of these (13) than any other journalist in Canada, for @nationalobserver.com.
Didn’t get a single question.
Which meant not one person asked PP about climate policy outside of the debates.

…not that there weren’t plenty of characters

Apropos of nothing, here’s a fella I met outside Poilievre’s rally last night in Waterloo.
They were confiscating these hats at the doors (because cameras), but gave em back on the way out.

(For the record, there weren’t many of these from what I could see. Much less Trumpy here than Edmonton.)

At today’s presser, Poilievre was asked a 2-part question: do you believe the polls (given how many people at your rallies don’t), and will you accept the election result if you lose?
He paused, said “Yes!” and launched into an attack on Liberals.

He ignored pleas to elaborate.

4 questions, no follow-ups at PP's presser this morning in Sault Ste Marie.
They told me they choose a mix of local, national & French outlets.
CTV reporter Judy Trinh (who wasn't chosen) shouted a question about PP's refusal to get security clearance.
"Excuse me there's an activist here," PP said.

Notable that Conservative staffers outnumbered journalists at the press conference by like 4 to 1. No CTV, no Globe&Mail, no National Post…

Partly a result of Poilievre barring media from his campaign bus, but also a sign of the industry’s evisceration.

Only four questions allowed total.

On this day of massive anti-Trump protests, Poilievre was asked (again) if his policies aren’t a bit Trump-adjacent: anti-government, anti-regulation, anti-media…
“Your question is false,” Poilievre replied (again). “Trump has endorsed the Liberals.”

Big breaking news for BC forestry and First Nations:
Teal Jones (the logging company that made Fairy Creek famous) LOST its bid to sue the province for sharing authority over Haida forests with the Haida Nation.
Great news for anyone who thinks clear-cutting old growth and ignoring FN’s is bad.
