Northrop N-9M experimental aircraft from WW2, first flight Dec1942. It was used for development of the B-35 heavy bomber, which appeared in 1946. Four were produced. In the 1980ies one was restored, which sadly fatally crashed in 2019.

Lockheed Model 75 Saturn commercial aircraft, designed in 1944/1945. First flight June 1946. As after the war the commercial market was overflown by surplus C-47s, the Saturn was not taken into production.

Latécoère 631 six-engined flying boat, designed in the late 1930ies. Prototype first flight was Nov1942 and it was confiscated by the Germans. Four were purchased by Air France for flight to Martinique. It was used up to the mid 1950ies although being uneconomic.

Northrop P-61A Black Widow WW2 night-fighter which first flew in May1942. Over 700 were produced for the US forces, which used them in European, Pacific, China/Burma/India and Mediterranean theaters.

Lavochkin LAGG-3 Soviet WW2 fighter. Between 1941 and 1944 over 6500 were produced although the aircraft was underpowered and overweighted. In 1944 the production was closed and replaced with the much more suitable Yakovlev Yak-3.

Lockheed L-1329 Jetstar 6 business jet from the 1960ies and 1970ies. Only about 200 were produced, but the type was considered a moderate success at the time.

Bell P-59B Airacomet was the first American designed jet aircraft. It first flew in October 1942, appeared underpowered and an order was cancelled, giving priority to the Lockheed P-80 jet fighter. The 66 P-59s produced were used for training and experiments.

Beechcraft XA-38 Grizzly attack aircraft, which first flew in May 1944. Because priorities shifted, the type was not taken into production and only 2 prototype were built.

The Swedish Saab 29 Tunnan (Barrel) was the first post-war European jet fighter with swept wings, developed immediately after WW2. Between 1948 and 1956 about 660 were produced for the Swedish and Austrian air forces. It was used up to in the 1970ies.

The Italian Savoia-Marchetti SM.75 was developed in the 1930ies as airliner. Here an exampled from Ala Littoria. During the late 1930ies and WW2 it was also used as bomber by the Italian Air Force. About 90 were produced.

Potez 75 French low-cost, robust, ground-support, observation and anti-tank aircraft from the 1950ies. It was intended for use in colonial conflicts. An order for 115 was placed in 1956, but cancelled in 1957. Only one prototype was produced.

Vought OS2U-2 Kingfishers of the U.S Coast Guard being launched from a ramp. Over 1500 Kingfishers were built, being used as observation plane. It was the main observation plane for the US Navy during WW2.

De Havilland DH.86 Express G-ADEB of Hillman's Airways Ltd at Amsterdam/Schiphol in 1935/1936. G-ADEB would crash at Altenkirchen, Germany 12Aug1936 on a mail flight, both crew sadly perished.
