12 years working at a Charity: never asked people for money.

Today: my friend Carl, cabinet maker, musician, bike mechanic, and heart of his community has been diagnosed with a brain tumor.

Carl has spent years lifting up others through community bike shops and radical kindness. #Bikesky

Climate change is a driver of disaster risk and can lead to conflict, instability and insecurity. 🔥⛈️🌪️

@ifrc.org and @wwfcanada.org estimate that by 2030, 150 million people a year could need humanitarian assistance due to floods, drought and storms. #ClimateChange

One sadly relevant slide for every day life that I made sure to capture during the course.

Just completed the Personal Safety and Security course from the International Rescue Committee @rescue.org

This training is built for humanitarians in high-risk environments, covering everything from armed checkpoints and shelling to travel safety to sexual violence response.

Batiment 7 in #Montreal where I volunteer is a real world version of #solarpunk 🌱

A self governing community space focused on community needs. It’s an example of how we can do things equitably, build resilience all while focusing on circular economies. 🐓🌾🪏

Happy to have helped organize Saturday’s Red Line Protest for #Gaza in Montreal with a small, committed team. It doesn’t take many to make an impact, just people who care. Grateful to be part of it.

A small team of organizers and a small team of volunteers to help Montreal come out to speak out.

What it looks like to help lead 10000+ people march in solidarity for the people of #Gaza through the streets of #Montreal

#Climatechange is one of the biggest threats and risk multipliers for vulnerable populations around the world. @msf.ca see the consequences that rapid environmental change can have on extremely vulnerable.

Pure bliss at the collective garden tonight. ☀️🌱🌿🪏

If you don’t know: instead or community gardens where everyone has their own plot, collective gardens everyone works together, shares the work and shares the harvest.

It builds community resiliency. #solarpunk

Paint is not infrastructure.

"Sharrows" don't save lives.

23 year old in critical condition after being hit by car while biking in Montreal on a calm street.

This is bike infrastructure where he was reportedly hit.

Drivers would like less people to drive on their roads.

Cyclists want more people to ride bikes on our roads.

I’m thrilled to share that I’ve been accepted into the Master of Disaster and Emergency Management program.

As our world faces increasingly complex challenges from climate change to global health crises, I’m eager to deepen my knowledge and contribute to building safer, more prepared communities.

Climate change and diseases: How does it end?

Perhaps our chief concern of climate change should be the alteration of the distribution and increased prevalence of fatal infectious diseases.

moneys worth out of this 25$ trailer. #bikesky #xbiking

Trailer is going to be so handy for the garden this summer.

A steal at 25$.

Saving that on gas alone for all the trips to get soil, municipal compost and wood chips. #bikesky #xbiking

The economy is challenging. The Canadian gov has a good budgeting resource. It helped me get out of debt. Interesting is you can see your expenses compared to average Canadian within your age and wealth group.

Now I try to live below my means.

Will say it again: bikes are the perfect apocalypse vehicle and dynamos are worth every penny.

The power is out for 8-9 city blocks right before a huge thunderstorm rolls in.

This is one of the Main Streets. #bikesky
